Woodland hits ten 3's in Detroit loss to Augusta

Augusta, GA — Brian Woodland nailed ten three pointers on his way to a 45 point night, but it wasn’t enough as Augusta defeated Detroit 123-119.

 
The game was tight early with Augusta leading by one after one with Detroit coming back to take a two point lead at the break. Augusta came back strong in the third taking a 16 point lead going into the fourth.

 
Detroit, despite playing with only six players, made a strong run at the end, but ran out of gas losing by four.

 
For Augusta, Cory Sims lead six players in double figures with 29 points. Sims also contributed nine assists and eight rebounds. Demitrius Howard had 25 with Kenneth Curtis adding 16.
 For Detroit, Oscar Sanders had 19 with Michael Manciel adding 15 points for the Panthers who drop to 6-11 on the season.

Up next for Detroit is Wilmington in the first of a three game season ending series against the Sea Dawgs in Wilmington on Sunday night.

Augusta finishes out their season on Sunday night against Battle Creek.
